Description

The SureSave utility (reactor) automatically saves changes in your drawings even in cases where the standard Save, Close or AutoSave fails. SureSave will keep a backup copy of your current drawing (to a specified folder) on any Save, SaveAs, or Close operation (even if you click on 'Save changes [No]' by mistake and even if the standard save operation fails because of a disk error). It will also preserve the latest AutoSave (SV$) file (usually deleted by Autodesk® AutoCAD® on exit).

You can also save automatically after every Nth AutoCAD command.

Includes management and restoring of the old backup files.

General Usage Instructions

Load the SureSave utility and set the required parameters with the icon or with the SURESAVE command (one-time operation only). The settings are stored in the Registry.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

The only changed drawings are SureSaved.
The standard SAVE TIME variable setting applies for timed backups. The setting of 0 disables timed backups in SureSave.
SureSave on new (still unnamed) drawings, SureSave Now, and SureSave after N commands use a different save method (similar to WBlock) - only objects from the current space (e.g. model space) are saved.

Known Issues

SureSave is not compatible with Autodesk® AutoCAD® P&ID and Autodesk® AutoCAD® Plant 3D.
